Leierwos’ advantages in casting precision castings in xxx industry
As a comprehensive precision casting company with 18 years of industry experience, Leierwo boasts strong adaptability and scalability in the general casting sector. Whether it’s construction machinery, garment machinery, marine components, or other non-industry-specific metal components, Leierwo provides customized casting and machining services tailored to customer needs. Its CNC machining shop’s comprehensive capabilities also enable it to perform finishing operations such as drilling, turning, and tapping after casting, providing a one-stop service from design to finished product. The company supports small-batch trial production and batch shipments for urgent orders, further enhancing its flexibility and responsiveness in the general casting market.
Main material selection
General casting encompasses a wide range of industries and applications, requiring flexible material selection to address multiple requirements, including strength, corrosion resistance, machinability, and cost control. Materials with high versatility, high cost-effectiveness, and ease of casting are typically selected.
Common Materials:
Stainless Steel Series:
304/304L: Suitable for general corrosion-resistant parts such as brackets, housings, and flanges. 316/316L: Used in highly corrosive environments such as chemical, marine, and food processing. 410/17-4PH: Used for structural parts or tools requiring a certain level of strength and corrosion resistance.
Carbon Steel Series:
1035/1045: Widely used in mechanical structural components and connectors. 1060/1065: Used for parts requiring high hardness and corrosion resistance, such as gears and guide rails.
Alloy Steel Series:
42CrMo/4140: Used for high-strength structural parts and heavy-duty mechanical components. 8630: Nickel-molybdenum alloy steel, suitable for case-hardened gears and shafts.
Other Alloy Series:
11L14/12L14 (free-cutting steel): Suitable for general-purpose components requiring high-precision machining.
A356 Aluminum Alloy: Used for lightweight, complex structural parts such as housings and covers.
Key casting service options
General casting covers a wide range of applications (such as mechanical parts, hardware tools, and instrument components), and the selection process focuses more on “cost-effectiveness + adaptability.”
Sand casting: Covers most common needs. For large-volume, simple-shaped parts (such as mechanical brackets and standard gearbox housings), sand casting offers low costs and mature technology, meeting “basic structural functions.”
Investment casting: Serves niche, precision needs. For example, small connectors for precision instruments (including complex hole systems and special-shaped structures) or corrosion-resistant parts for medical devices require high precision (dimensional tolerances of +0.05mm) and surface quality. Investment casting can replace some expensive machining processes, reducing costs.
CNC machining: Serves as a “filler tool.” General parts often need to be adapted to different equipment. After casting, CNC machining allows for local dimensional adjustments (such as tapping and milling) to ensure compatibility with other components. This method is particularly suitable for small-volume, multi-specification customization.
